Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) led an exemplary life of humility, respect and discreet leadership with high levels of innate morality. The building proposed for this competition achieves a humble and exemplary presence in the arid field, allowing for an oasis of congregation to reveal itself from the earth; connected at its roots to its surrounding community. The concept considers the physical and organizational philosophies of the Islamic way of thinking, referencing symbolic numbers to order the museum’s physicality. The proposed concept respects vernacular architecture, while presenting a modern design based on traditional Islamic principles by integrating historical context with hi-tech visual displays.”
